Big or small, business wins and personal victories are part of your journey as an entrepreneur and they deserve to be celebrated and acknowledged. Holidays usually bring into perspective the goals we had for the year, how far we’ve come on those achievements, and the need to aim even higher.
Just as you need to debrief when you don’t have the results that you expect (more normal than you think!), it’s important to debrief your successes and take the time and space to cheer for your achievements. Check your journal, your planner, and go through all the things you went through this year and select those victorious moments that need to be highlighted.
Treat yourself
Now that you have that list of amazing accomplishments, it’s time to treat yourself for it. Treats don’t always come in the form of expensive gifts, they can also take the form of taking a break, having some space for yourself, having your favorite meal or just cheering with a glass of wine.
Whichever is your way to treat yourself, DO IT, and don’t skip this part, because you’re the hero in your own story. Make this a weekly or monthly ritual.
Share your victories with others
Don’t keep your wins to yourself! You have a support system that will be happy to know that you’re doing great. You’ll be surprised by the number of people who have you on their “I admire” list, and this is just another blue ribbon to show off.
Make your family, friends, and clients part of your celebration. You can post on social media, extend an invitation to a small celebration event, or just send an email telling your journey and how important they were along the way.
Believing in yourself and your goals is the first step towards more victories and recognition in the future! So, don’t be ashamed to shout out your wins and make the world a participant in your celebration, you deserve it and this holiday season is the best moment to throw that party, no matter how big it is.
