Happy 4th of July! This is the perfect holiday to gather with your loved ones at your patio or yard and have a wonderful barbecue taking advantage of the beautiful summer days! 

Then, why not make it tasty and healthy at the same time? We bring you a few recipes that can make you a star during your celebrations. They were designed for all kinds of get-togethers and are so easy to share and prepare so that you get to spend more of your time with your loved ones.

Quinoa FENIX Protein Bars  

Ingredients

  • 1 scoop OGX Vanilla
  • 1/2 cup dry quinoa
  • 2 Tbsp ground flax seeds
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 tsp pink Himalayan salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp cardamom
  • 1/2 cup raw almonds; coarsely chopped
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup almond butter      

 

Preheat your oven to 350 F.

In a large mixing bowl, combine OGX FENIX™ Vanilla, quinoa, chia seeds, flax seed, rolled oats, cinnamon, salt, cardamom, and chopped raw almonds. Stir to combine.

In a small, microwave-safe dish, combine raw almond butter, maple syrup, and honey. Stir to mix, then microwave for 1 minute to soften.

Pour the wet ingredients over the dry ingredients and stir with a plastic spatula to thoroughly combine. Wet ingredients may begin to firm up, in which case you will need to use clean hands to knead the mixture together.

Transfer your mixture to a parchment lined baking dish and pat down mixture with a plastic spatula to make a single, even layer.

Bake on the middle rack of the oven for 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes. Cut 16 bars with a sharp, non-serrated knife or pizza cutter.

 

Portobello Burger

Ingredients

  • ½ bell pepper
  • 1  portobello mushroom
  • 1/8 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoons olive oil
  • Oregano, garlic powder, salt, pepper to taste.
  • 1 oz. provolone cheese
  • 1 Burger bun

 

Cut the bell pepper into slices and separate the cap from the rest of the mushroom.

Pour the balsamic vinegar in a shallow dish and add spices to taste. Soak in the mushroom cap and pepper slices for 10 minutes.

Grill the mushroom and pepper slices with olive oil, marinating it with the balsamic vinegar mixture. Top the mushroom with the cheese and let it melt. Remove the mushroom and peppers when tender and put it in the burger bun.

 

Mocha S’mores Iced Coffee

Ingredients

  • 1 sachet ORGANO Cafe Mocha
  • 1 cup of hot water
  • Mini marshmallows
  • 6 ice cubes
  • Whipping cream
  • 1 Tbsp crushed graham crackers

 

Stir the Cafe Mocha in the hot water until dissolved and add the mini marshmallows.

Pour the mocha mix into a glass filled with ice.

Garnish with whipped cream, graham crackers, and enjoy.
