They say that when a door closes, a new one opens. That is precisely what happened to 25-year-old, Nicola Vassallo, from Naples, Italy.
At age 15, Nicola set aside his studies and left home to follow his dream of becoming a professional soccer player. Just a year later, an unfortunate incident forced him to go back to Naples, ending with his long-time goal. At 17, he started working on a fishing company, earning enough to become independent and support his family. He was promoted and had to work almost every day for 14 hours straight to keep his position. During the next four years, he felt discouraged about this job. It was not the hard work he was frustrated about, but the fact that he was losing precious time. Nicola decided to find something new to fulfill him. Even when he wasn’t sure about what it was, he knew he needed to get out of his situation. Without even noticing, he was about to discover an opportunity that would change his life.
Nicola’s former coworker, Antonio Aliperta, invited him for a cup of coffee. That same day, Nicola started his journey with ORGANO towards a brighter future, and just after two months, he qualified for Platinum.
Nicola committed to getting Antonio enough points to make his sponsor a Ruby, while he wanted to reach Platinum Elite for himself. Now that he reached it, his new goal is to attend EXPO 2019 with his whole team.
