With these days of remote work we seem to be getting more and more on our plates! We can tend to be more scattered and lose a little bit of focus and organization. But keeping things under control can help you achieve your goals faster! To bring back a sense of normalcy and configure your days better, we bring you a list of tips that may come in handy to keep your work-life balance in check.

1. Make Lists

Don’t just think things, write them down. A simple to-do list can come in handy to really see what you’re spending your time on and compare your productivity between days.

2. Delegate Tasks

You don’t have to do it all. When a task is not on your level of expertise and you know someone who might do it better and more efficiently, delegate it to them. Even simple things such as walking your dog or washing the dishes can be delegated to other family members. When it comes to professional services and you can afford it, it’s better to leave things in the hands of professionals.

3. Manage your emails and phone calls

We’re used to being available 24/7. Sometimes that’s not healthy, especially if they make you feel anxious. Separating some time to do those calls or respond to those emails will create a space for you to focus on them and leave the rest of the time available for other things. Sorting your emails into categories can come in handy.

4. Clean your workspace

Most importantly: Have a work space. Cleaning up the place where you work and make it look nice can motivate you even more. Clutter can produce more anxiety, that’s why leaving some empty spaces and surrounding yourself by things that inspire you is important.

5. Use a planner

This is similar to your to-do list, but will help you to take a look at the future. Avoiding schedule conflicts or making space for relaxation will help you visualize your week and prepare for whatever your days will look like. Calendars and planners really come in handy when it comes to mapping long-term projects and following up on complex goals.

Getting into a routine can be complicated when you never had one, but once you try it, you will see the difference! The most important thing is to try things to optimize your life, keep the ones that work and get rid of the ones that don’t. We’re sure you’ll make even more progress by applying the tips we just gave you, let us know how they turn out!
