Tea can be as versatile as coffee when it comes to preparations and this Spring and Easter season have inspired us to try some herbal flavours you may want to incorporate to your daily routine. Whether you like Red or Green tea, Organo has the perfect blend for you to enjoy a comfort cup.
Cardamom Iced tea
Ingredients
½ cup green cardamom pods
10 cups of water
½ cup honey
Ice
¾ cup heavy cream
8 drops of rosewater
Toast the cardamom pods on a medium skillet over medium heat, they will get golden and fragrant after 5 minutes, then transfer them to a heatproof bowl.
On the bowl with the cardamom, steep the Red tea on 8 cups of hot water and let it steep. Strain the tea and transfer to a pitcher and stir in the honey, let it go cold in the fridge or on your counter.
When you’re serving, pour the tea on the glasses and top each with heavy cream and 1 drop of rose water. Enjoy!
Mandarin Iced Tea
Ingredients
4 cups water (hot)
2 cups tangerine juice
Ice
Steep the tea on the 4 cups of water and let it steep for over 15 minutes. Take out the bags and let it cool to room temperature. Add the tangerine juice and serve on ice-filled glasses. You can decorate the glass with tangerine slices or drop some tangerine pieces into the glass.
Grapefruit Sensation
Ingredients
2 bags of Organo Green tea
2 cups of hot water
¼ grapefruit , sliced
sprig of rosemary
honey
Steep the Green tea bags on the 2 cups of hot water on a heat proof pitcher. Meanwhile, grab a tea pot and add the rosemary and grapefruit, add a few drops of hot water over them. When the tea is ready, pour it in the teapot with the rosemary and grapefruit and let it infuse for 3 minutes or so. Serve on a tea cup and add honey as desired to sweeten it.
