June 10 marks National Iced Tea Day! Perfect to celebrate the arrival of summer, summa days at the beach or the park, and long afternoons with your friends and family.
ORGANO brings you a few ideas to prepare the best-iced tea recipes to celebrate summer as you should!
Old-Fashioned Iced Tea
Ingredients
6 cups of water
2 tablespoons of honey (optional)
2 Sliced Lemons
Ice
Put the water into a pot and bring to a boil, remove from the heat and add the ORGANO Red Tea bags. Let it steep for 8 to 10 minutes.
Take out the bags and discard them, then stir in the honey and let it cool to room temperature.
Put the liquid on a pitcher and refrigerate for an hour or two.
Add the lemon slices and some ice cubes to a glass and serve.
Pomegranate Ice
Ingredients
4 cups water
6 bags of ORGANO Red Tea
2 cups of pomegranate juice
1 cup of apple juice
Apple slices
Ice
Bring the water to a boil on a saucepan, turn the heat off and add the ORGANO Red Tea bags. Let it brew for 10 minutes, then remove the tea bags and let it cool down.
Once the tea is at room temperature, add the pomegranate juice and the apple juice and stir.
Add some ice to your glass and pour in the tea. Decorate with some apple slices, you’re ready to go!
Mint Rush tea
Ingredients
6 ORGANO Green Tea Bags
3 cups water or more to taste
Honey (to taste and optional)
Mint leaves
1 orange, thinly sliced
Ice
In a large saucepan bring the water to a boil, turn off the stove and add the ORGANO Green tea bags and mint leaves for 5 minutes. Taste and add honey if needed for sweetness.
Discard tea bags and mint leaves and let them cool on the counter. Garnish 3 glasses with a few mint leaves and orange slices, add some ice cubes, and pour the cold tea. Enjoy!
