Here at Organo Gold, we are all big coffee drinkers —and we have so many amazing coffee and other beverage products, it is easy to neglect some of our other incredible product offerings. But of course that incredible ingredient that lies hidden at the heart of all of our coffees, Ganoderma lucidum, is also sold on its own in the Nutraceutical category.
The versatile Ganoderma Lucidum comes in many different forms, and this week we’d love to put the spotlight on our Ganoderma Lucidum Mycelium product. This amazing little bottle offers proof positive that a lot can happen in 18 days. This product uses Ganoderma that is harvested from an 18-day-old Ganoderma Lucidum mushroom. It is known for its antioxidant properties, and is also packed full of the polysaccharide Beta-glucan, which has been shown to help stimulate the body’s immune function.
One thing many people do not realize (even some folks who have been with OG for years) is that the contents of the Ganoderma Lucidum Mycelium capsules can also be used in recipes, such as smoothies, juices and so on. Think of when you get a “boost”shot added to your healthy, juicy order at a fancy juice bar. It’s just an added bonus that makes whatever you are mixing up EVEN more good for you!
Just be sure to empty the contents of each capsule into whatever smoothie or juice recipe you are mixing up, and discard the vegetable capsule shells (because while they are safe for human consumption, they don’t work so well in recipes!).
Let us know what you come up with —it’s time for everyone in the OG family to get creative with Ganoderma.
In the meantime here is a recipe from last year’s OGlicious cookbook, which combines Ganoderma Lucidum Mycelium with delicious blueberry syrup and vanilla ice-cream!
