Working on your OG business can feel like a daunting task, in spite of the awesome results it can bring.

Productivity isn’t related to the number of hours you dedicate to something, it is related to how smart you are when it comes to managing the time you actually have.

Thinking of this, we bring some productivity and time management tips, so you can make the most of your time off, enjoy your free time and have a nice balance.

Set SMART Goals

Not having a north will take you anywhere but where you want to go. In order to stay on track, you can use the SMART system to set important milestones in your business and achieve them effectively.

SMART GOALS are:

S for Specific

M for measurable

A for attainable

R for Relevant

T for time-bound

Make sure that you work on your goals every single day and you’ll start seeing results in no time.

Create time-slots

Saving chunks of time in your daily schedule to perform tasks that are similar is key to feel more productive and achieve more by doing less.

Packing activities that are similar or related to the same topic will get you in the zone, driving your focus to the things that matter, instead of multitasking of unrelated tasks.

Block out distractions

Whether it is the TV, the kids, your phone or your dog, zoning out and creating a space to actually do things is necessary. Search for the moments that work for you through the day and turn off all notifications from your phone and computer and focus on the task at hand.

Avoid finding excuses to stop doing what you’re doing. Make it a habit and you’ll notice the difference in your accomplishments.

Take breaks

After focusing for hours in one thing, your mind needs a breather. That’s why taking a walk, going out to grab a coffee or simply leaving your office for a while will help you relax and think about something else.

Create spaces and make time to do nothing, it is well known that when we’re bored some of the greatest ideas occur to us.

Learn to say No

Sometimes we aim to satisfy everyone but ourselves, and that’s where this powerful word comes into play. When you’re feeling overwhelmed, stop, take time to think of tasks or things that are important and make a decision: can I do it? yes or no.

Saying no isn’t always negative, especially when you’re trying to gain time to either rest or do something that’s more vital. Don’t bite more than what you can chew and learn to refuse invitations or take more tasks that may get in the way of your priorities.

Applying these principles, you’ll feel how your schedule clears out substantially, leaving room for important things or valuable ‘me time’ to enjoy by yourself or with your loved ones.
