National Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15 to October 15, and is the perfect occasion to recognize the work and commitment of our Hispanic Distribution partners! The observation of this month started in 1968 as Hispanic Heritage Week under President Lyndon Johnson and was expanded by President Ronald Reagan in 1988 to cover a 30-day period. Let’s meet one of our stars!
Miguel Angel Rodríguez Sosa is a Ruby Partner from Mexico, and he is very proud of his heritage, for him “the cultural contributions we’ve brought to the world are full of diversity and sensations. We improve everybody’s lives with new perspectives and connect with others over an OG cup of coffee.”
For Miguel, some of the Hispanic traditions he likes to celebrate and that connect with the OG philosophy is the Mexican Día de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) “with the special altars we design to remember our loved ones that had passed, offering the things they loved while they were alive, and the use of cocoa are a few things I can connect with ORGANO. The appreciation for sharing with others, recognizing their legacy and their contributions to our lives.”
Coffee is another thing he considers a valuable thing that the Hispanic world has given to the world, “coffee is full of magic and mysticism, it allows the fusion of flavors and brings people together. Coffee is the center of important conversations and amazing stories. OG allows us to bring that to other people, present to them new flavors, new landscapes, all through our amazing beverages.”
