Organo Gold looks set to light up Los Angeles in 2015, when our 6th annual International Convention — this year dubbed OG Ignite — hits the stage of the Los Angeles Convention Center on August 29th and 30th.

Of course, this entertainment mecca of a city is no stranger to big events — playing host to many high-profile awards ceremonies, sporting competitions and other functions throughout the year. So today we thought we’d take a look at a couple of LA’s more high profile events and venues.

The Academy Awards

Colloquially known as the Oscars, the Academy Awards ceremony is one of the most anticipated and prestigious awards events on the film industry calendar. This year’s ceremony, the 87th Academy Awards, which will honor the best films and performances of 2014, and is set to take place in just under a couple of weeks, on February 22, 2015, at the Dolby Theatre (formerly the Kodak Theatre) in Hollywood, Los Angeles. This year’s event will be hosted by Neil Patrick Harris. While it’s his first time hosting the Oscars, the actor is no stranger to awards shows, having hosted the Tony Awards and the Prime Time Emmy Awards ceremonies on numerous occasions. The ceremony itself attracts big audiences — not only does the Dolby Theater see large crowds gather to witness the celebrity attendees arrive and walk the red carpet, but this year’s show will be broadcast live to over 225 countries. Now THAT’S entertainment on a global scale!

The Staples Center

This sporting arena, which is located just next door to the Los Angeles Convention Center and adjacent to the LA Live entertainment development, measures a whopping 950,000 square feet, and plays host to many many different sporting teams, games, concerts and other events. The privately financed arena cost a reported $375 million, and has a capacity of up to 20,000 people, depending on the sport or event being staged. The arena is the home stadium of both the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Clippers, making it the only arena in the NBA shared by two teams. The Staples Center is also home to the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL), and the Los Angeles Sparks of the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA). The arena has played host to some memorable events since it opened in October 1999, including the inaugural concert by Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, sold out shows by celebrated musical acts including Madonna, Beyoncé and Taylor Swift, seven NBA Finals series with the Lakers, and several Stanley Cup NHL Finals series.

Organo Gold is so excited to be bringing its annual international convention to Los Angeles — the city of dreams, because it will see Distributors from around the globe gather to hear some groundbreaking industry announcements that will IGNITE their dreams and their businesses. Secure tickets here now for what promises to be a spectacular, star-studded and memorable event in glamorous Los Angeles.
