Every Sunday we like to regale you with tales of just how truly amazing the Ganoderma Lucidum mushroom is. But what is equally amazing (although perhaps less photogenic) is how these miraculous mushrooms are then transformed into a fine, flavorless powder that is the not-so-secret ingredient in every Organo Gold product.

At a state-of-the-art, $240 million facility which Organo Gold uses in partnership with the Fujian Xianzhilou Biological Science and Technology Company (the only company that produces 100% certified organic Ganoderma), our 100% organic Ganoderma mushrooms are first grown, as they do in nature, on logs. Then, their shiny, vivid orange caps and nutrient-rich stems are harvested and taken to the facility, where our food scientists and agronomists work together to process them into the powerful powder that is cleverly hidden inside every OG coffee, tea and even personal care product.

Not all of us can make it over to China to witness this amazing process first-hand — although many groups of OG Distributors and employees have made the journey in recent years — so here is a slideshow of images that reveals some of the steps along the amazing journey Ganoderma mushrooms take as they are transformed from cap to cup.
