What is Instagram?
Instagram is an online mobile photo-sharing, video-sharing and social networking service that enables its users to take pictures and videos, and share them on a variety of social networking platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Flickr.
How can I use Instagram to promote my OG Business?
Being a very visual platform, you need to get creative with the content you’re sending out on the social world. You also need to insure your content is reaching the right audience and that you’re joining the right conversations.
Here are some of our expert tips from our Social Media Experts at Organo Gold.
1- Use hashtag: Hashtags are used to group conversations. When you use hashtags you are allowing people that are searching Instagram to see your photos. Hashtags where covered on our post Twitter and #OrganoGold. Some examples of the most popular hashtags on Instagram are:
#Food, #Selfie, #Love, #Instalove, #Picoftheday, #Instagood, #OrganoGold, #Coffee, #Yum, #Business and #Startup
Other hashtags that we use at OG
#OG, #JustBrewit #Brewkups #Organogold
2- Use videos: Recently Instagram added the video feature and it has become very popular. Although you only have 15 seconds there are some creative things you can do, here are some ideas:
– Quick recipe videos
– Product review
– Inspirational speeches
– Thought of the day
– Something funny.
3- Tag friends: If you know some of your friends might be interested, a great way to get engagement from them is to tag them. Just make sure that you use this with caution and don’t tag the same friends all the time.
4- Take quality photos: The better your picture the better your chances more people will like it. Pro tip: When taking picture of your coffee add a sachet of coffee in the background or on the side, is a subtle way to promote your brand, without coming across as a sales person. You may also want to consider getting some OG branded mugs from our business tools page, for your next photo-shoot.
